Wednesday:  Novel and Voc. Tests.  Read for 20 minutes

Thursday:    Read for 20 minutes.

Friday:   Read for 20 minutes

About the Teacher/Welcome Msg

Experience: The 2022-2023 school year will be my 21st year in education with DeSoto County Schools.  This will be my 7th year at OGCES.  Before joining the OGCES team, I was a literacy coach in our district for five years.  Prior to being a literacy coach, I taught ELA and Social Studies at WES for 9 years. 

Bio: I am a lifelong resident of DeSoto County.  I attended Horn Lake Schools and graduated from Horn Lake High School.  I have a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from the University of Mississippi in education.  The 2022-2023 school year will be my 21st year in education.

Family time is an important part of life.  My family and I reside in the town of Hernando.  My husband and I have two wonderful sons, and they both attend Hernando schools.  We also have a Boston Terrier named Jazzy Mae.
